工作内容
1、 金融翻译,以*******有限公司每日的公告翻译为主 ( 应用翻译软件 ) ;
2、 工作半年后被提升为一审,负责审查和修改其他同事的公告翻译,并总结公告翻译中常见的错误,告知组员改正;
3、 培训新员工,定期对新员工进行测试,帮*******公司业务及工作内容;
4、 对国内一些地方政府网站英文版进行调研,研究其语言是否地道、专业,并进行总结,由此指导政务翻译组的翻译工作;

ssi, jointly invested by shanghai international studies university and shanghai telecom, provides professional translation services to its clients, which include china securities regulatory commission (chinese and english version of the website), sse infonet ltd. (translation of the daily announcements made by the listed companies), and shanghai yangpu district government (the english version of the website), etc.
as a translator and proofreader in the company, i did the following things:
1. i usually did financial english translation ( with transtool-n6) , mainly the daily announcements of the listed companies, for sse infonet ltd.;
2. after being appointed as a proofreader half a year after i came to the company, i was responsible for checking, correcting and perfecting the announcements translated by my colleagues. besides, i used to summarize the common mistakes and tell other team members to avoid them in their translation;
3. i was also in charge of training and testing the newcomers and helping them to be familiar with the company’s business and their own translation task;
4. i would do research into the english version of some local goverments’ websites, in order to find whether the english languane there was professional and accurate. then i would make a summary, which would be useful for the translation team to do better in their job;
5. i also actively promoted cooperation among different translation teams and assisted other teams in translating articles relating to tourism and hotel.
